This isn't an official report, but a few comments:
The crucial result for the open was played out on the Saturday evening, when Chris Dorrington defeated Chris Beaumont to take a clear lead going into the Sunday. He faced Jim Sherwin with white in the last round, and succesfully drew a r+p ending a pawn down to secure clear first.
The performance of the event was in the minor section, where 13 year old Tom Thorpe, graded just 85, won the u-130 minor outright.
