Here are the bare results of the Norfolk Championships at the weekend.
Championships
1st= with 4/5 were Stephen Orton and Mike Gough, both of Norfolk and
Norwich.
Mike Gough takes the title Norfolk Champion on a tie break which was the
sum of opponents scores.
3rd= with 3½/5 were Caius Turner (Diss), Roy Hughes (Broadland, Adrian
Elwin (Milton Keynes) and Mervyn Hughes (Norwich Dons).
Challengers
1st with 4/5 was Chris Tuffin (Norwich Dons)
2nd= with 3½/5 were Greg Tebble (Norwich Dons, Terry Glover (Norwich
Dons), Matthew Morter (Martham), Sam Gibbs (Norfolk and Norwich) and
Warren Kingston (Lowestoft).
The U165 Champion was Mervyn Hughes (Norwich Dons)
The U150 Champion was Chris Tuffin (Norwich Dons)
The U125 Champion was Richard Downing (St Johns Cathedral)
The Auston Macdonald trophy for the highest performance over grading was
won by Richard Downing with an increase of 34.6% on his grade of 118 - a
performance of 152.6.
