The point Roger makes is well taken. As a newcomer to this sort of activity, I hadn't been aware of the need. Anyway, it is now dealt with: a downloadable PGN file (containing all 54 games from the Open) has been added to the webpage in question: (www.leedschesscongress.org.uk/Opengames2013.htm).
The file will open in Scid, Chessbase, Wordpad, TED Notepad, Open Office and no doubt various other programs - enough I hope to meet everyone's requirements.
