He doesn't play very much these days over the board and hasn't done so for twenty years or more. In his youth, I believe he was at school with Nigel Short and had his career not taken a different path, could have been on track for the IM or GM title.

It clashed with whitby or I would have considered going Though I don't really play much rapid these days. Shall be at the Manchester long play congress though.

Yes, we talked last night about moving the date next year

At least it broke even, good for a first attempt, and lessons can be learned
