It should be possible to do anything on a keyboard without using the mouse. So, for example, you want to get to the bottom of a large table of data on a spreadsheet, you would hit End and Down together. That is simpler for many people than doing the same thing using a mouse. I have a mouse but hardly use it. So, on this one, I am with the Sage from Witney.

There'll be a generation who grew up using keyboards quite a bit who can all at least touch type to some degree Not sure about the current young people with so much being done on mobiles instead.

So am I. I learnt to touch type in my teens because my handwriting was so bad. It had several unforeseen benefits.IM Jack Rudd wrote:I am.Roger de Coverly wrote: How many of us are, or ever were, touch typists?

I find random useless symbols like ¶∆~`^| can sometimes be handy when people start writing Russian or Arabic to me - I can use those symbols to reply in gibberish and teach them a lesson for not speaking properly!
