Arbiters Course : 19th/20th September 2009

Post by John Upham » Mon Sep 14, 2009 9:55 am

By popular demand, Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire will be hosting another course for Chess Arbiters 19th/20th September 2009.

We have been able to secure the services of ECF Chief Arbiter, David Welch to run the course. :D

If you are interested in what the Arbiter role encompasses, are a match captain for a team and want to understand your role as captain ( for Surrey Border and Berkshire Leagues, captains may act in the capacity of an arbiter ) , organise tournaments/matches at any level, or just need a refresher on the latest developments in the Laws of Chess, FIDE 2009, this course will be of interest.

The course cost is £25 (includes ECF arbiter membership) and includes an optional exam at the end. :P

If you are interested to join or need further details then please contact Ken Coates, 01252-683554, [email protected]

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come - first served basis. :(
