That, Sir, is genius. As a long-time fan of The Master Game and The Fry/Laurie/Footlights brigade, I can't believe I've never seen that before

Can’t click the link at work, but I’ve a feeling I know which one you mean -

University Challenge (UCL vs Pembroke, Cambridge) tonight featured three trivial mates in one. Only one was found correctly.
The square coordinates were correct in the two positions our of three where White was at the bottom of the position.
In the first the mate was correctly 17 Rd8# but appeared as Re8 - e1 mate.
You'd hope that the BBC would get it right!
I'm sure you will all recognise the position. Morphy had played 16 Qb3 - b8+! deflecting the Knight from d7.

You might like to see this (

The commentary is one of the best I've ever heard in terms of creating excitement to a wide audience.
The commentary team is Maurice Ashley and Danny King. See what you think?

I too had not seen that 'Master Game' before.
Here is the link again to save you going back.

Brilliant.
"Aw..What's he done that for?"
Should be the title of a chess book.
