The b4 and g4 sequence earlier was arguably even better.

Is there a way to easily see the current standings?

If you open the broadcast in lichess and click on standings it takes you to info64.org where you can easily see the current standings, pairings etc.

Pairings appear on the official website a little earlier than chess-results.

Matthew drew in round 8 so a draw (I think against a 2266 or more) should be enough in the final round for his third and final GM norm. He does still need to meet the rating requirement though, he is currently 2489.3 live.

I’m not sure why Harry Grieve’s opponent offered a draw as she was an exchange up but the draw almost certainly ensures Matthew will be paired with someone rated high enough to enable him to secure his third and final GM norm with a draw. (She was the only player under 2266 within a point of Matthew at the start of round 7 as far as I could see.)
