Thanks for organising the live games. Anyone in line for a potential norm going into the last round?

The FIDE President was keen on games being as fast as possible, probably due to a failure to understand how TV coverage might work. Those wanting to retain minimum standards were able to draw a line in the sand at four hours, so 90 minutes for the game, with 30 second increments is the fastest increment timing allowed for norms and for ratings if players above 2200 are participating. This facilitates two rounds a day, with player friendly timings of a 10 am start and a finish unlikely to be later than 8pm unless you are really unlucky with both your opponent and the ending.Paul Dargan wrote:Are norms allowed with so many days of 2 rounds per day?

Provided players are willing to play on Thursday evening, Easter provides an opportunity for a nine round event, whilst costing minimal holiday time to those working.
