Games not FIDE rated, presumably to encourage uninhibited chess.

I watched the game yesterday and after Jones avoided the max lange with the 5 e5 (instead of 5 0-0) he got into all sorts of trouble...it just looks good for black

L'ami played it perfectly and had a very simple game as black and funnily enough ended up with an isolated pawn on d3 which is thematic for many variations of the max lange (I used to play in on the white side)

White had absolutely no counter play and was powerless to avoid the nice mate in the end by L'ami

the book I have is
Max lange attack and the anti-max lange by Ken Smith and John Hall

a third loss for Jonesy 0/3

I thought he was winning clearly in the last game but Ernst was as slippery as an eel.

I don't get the point of an event not being FIDE rated... the results are meaningless....there is another non rated event in Ireland ... Bunratty... I drew a nice meaningless game with a 2460 IM a few years ago but he might as well have been rated 1460 lol.
