I am struggling to understand the Arkell v Horton ending, actually. Why not 55.Ke6 instead of 55 Kc6 ?

Isn't that a repetition? I think the critical point is if white tried 58 Ke5 Kf3 59 Kf5. Unfortunately that seems to lose to 59 ...e3 (whereas Kxf2 loses) 60 fe3 Ke3 so white has to repeat with 59 Kd4. There appears no way to force a position with the white king on e5 and the black king on f3 with black to move.

Graeme missed an amazing forced draw against Keith with a double Rook sacrifice with 29 .. Rf2 followed by 30 .. Rf4. I saw the idea and couldn't believe it so had to stick Junior on. It does seem to work.

Alan Merry has won on board one putting him on 4.5.

Arkell has R+4 against R+2 so looks like Alan may be sole winner. But it's not over till the ...

The double Rook sacrifice does not work according to Fritz 13. White takes both Rooks and after a few checks is able to interpose the Queen on g2 and then shortly wins.
