Looking for books about Schlechter

Does anyone have either or both of the following that they might be willing to part with:

Crain, Tom Schlechter's Chess Games (Caissa: Yorklynn 1998)

Goldmann, Warren Carl Schlechter! Life and Times of the Austrian Chess Wizar:d (1994)

If anyone has both I would be interested in comparative information, but probably I would rather obtain the Crain as I believe it has more game scores than Goldmann?

I have the Spielmann book on Schlechter already.

I am willing to buy at a reasonable price or can exchange for one of my Blackburne or Steinitz hardbacks.

Unsure what you call a reasonable price but both books are currently available via Biblio.co.uk and abebooks.co.uk..
Biblio usually has some discount code available to get a 10% reduction. Currently 'Oscarwilde' should work until Sunday midnight.

Paul, Thanks for the tip about Biblio.

After being outbid on the Crain book which was offered on the Lund auction I found a copy via the American Biblio and it arrived safely and for a good bit less than the other guy paid.

General advice:
I was offered a swap by a Forumite on the Goldman for one of my books which I duly despatched carefully by registered post.

The incoming book was mailed to me by ordinary airmail with no return address and after 3 weeks plus has still not arrived.

NEVER send anyone a book (or Christmas gift for that matter) by an untracked service unless you have a spare copy if it goes missing. Especially if you are sending it outside the UK because Brexit has caused lots of problems with mailing packets.

I must say I enjoyed your book on Blackburne. How long did it take to write?

It was ten years ago so I don't remember exactly.

First I had a chapter on him in my Eminent Victorian Chess Players (published 2012) and after that I gave a talk on him at the Ken Whyld Association conference in Norwich (2012 or 2013?). It became clear that there was need for more research. For example, the Dictionary of National Biography said he had two wives but I had discovered a third.
So I got the contract from McFarland and the work was continued mostly in 2013, and then the writing was completed during 2014, and the book came out in mid-2015 I think.
Some of the research for Steinitz in London was done at the same time in 2014, but at the World Seniors that year Craig Pritchett told me he was writing a book on Steinitz for Everyman Chess. So I postponed the Steinitz book and did the British Chess Literature to 1914 first and went back to Steinitz after Craig's very different sort of book was published.

I also gave the Oxford DNB a lot of corrections to their old articles on chess players as well as writing original contributions on Captain Evans, Gunsberg and Mary Rudge. These are in the electronic edition not in print.
