That open match was much stronger than the past year or two. A bit frightening!

He's been in this country for a while, but previously in the Surrey/Berks area.

If he doesn't live in Lancashire, he shouldn't be eligible to play.

Just because he has played for Guildford in 4Ncl does not mean he is eligible for Surrey.
Plays a lot up north so suggests that is fine.
Though excellent to see that Lancashire lost 3 matches & Bill lost his game too. :D

He played the Leyland Open in August and then the British Blitz qualifier at Bolton, so it seems he's likely to be north west based now

Well he has not reply to my email since Bullygate!!
he does a lot for chess, but at the same time, I feel that he think that he above everyone else and when I have offer to stand for role, he got one of his "FRIENDS" to stand.

I wanted to help them, but at the same time, I was asked by the Manchester Chess Federation, to take on a role, as they know what skills I can offer to the chess world!!

Sure he's fine. Anyhow, the Lancs - Yorkshire stage matches are nigh on 'friendlies' (hahahahha!), so no one will care too obsessively about strict qualification rules.

Surely the County Championship qualification rules do not apply at the union stage anyway? (unless a union specifically adopts them).

Until fairly recently, the eligibility requirements for the National Stages were also mandatory for the Union Qualifying Stages.

This rule was scrapped during the Holowczak era.
