To see "Dom" in action watch Malcolm Tucker in "The Thick of It" : a truly unpleasant and untrustworthy character.
That is surely praising him overly. Malcolm Tucker was portrayed as an unpleasant, bullying sociopath. He was however rational and lived in the world as it is. Unlike Dominic Cummings, who lives in some fantasy world in which he rules the roost with his Einsteinian insight and Machiavellian political finesse, whereas in the real world, he is simply self-inflated.

Reason: To remove some of the more physical metaphors

I have misappropriated a segment of the Monty Python Cocktail Bar sketch :
John: Oh, I say, have you seen page eight? Cumming’s had an asshole transplant.

Terry: Ohhh, have you seen the stop press then?

John: No.

Terry: The asshole has rejected him.

Can we have some moderation here please? This is straying into partisan politics and gratuitous insult. The Paul McKeown post of 4:44 today has surely crossed the line.

As for the politics, none have been discussed.

Is he not supposed to be undergoing surgery sometime about now?
Situation can change from day to day but, last I heard, the operation had been postponed. And it wasn't the national event I had in mind :)

Paul's post about Mr Cummings has been lightly edited to remove the penis-related metaphors.

I’m here again.

A post was removed too as it was not of relevance.

Anyway, having now seen the piece, it's pretty unobjectionable.
"Do you play chess?"
"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."
