Once of this place, now jailed??

This item just appeared in my local rag. Name rang a bell. Once a member of this forum by the same name, and from Liverpool. And bonkers. Could be someone else. If so, I'll be back to grovel. But I think not

Among other things (though I wonder how wise it is for us to discuss this openly).
"Do you play chess?"
"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."

The linked report doesn't make any mention of chess (for which we might be grateful, if it is indeed the same person)

It does mention that he studied languages at University though, and his blog describes himself as a translator amongst other things.

He has a blog. Interesting in that he holds nothing back, full of fairly random anger, threats of violence and episodes of actual violence and (denied) property crime ("they gave me this stuff"). I can readily identify the woman from the world of chess that he mouths off about occasionally, just glad he wasn't sufficiently riled by her to do what seems to come naturally to him, apart from spouting bile.

He must have really liked people on the ECF forums - we got off quite lightly compared to the echo.
Lose one queen and it is a disaster, Lose 1000 queens and it is just a statistic.
