Was that against a legit player? If so then fair play to him, fantastic tactic.

Hi Joey,
Just watched it again. Now we know what Levitsky said when Marshall sacced his Queen on g3 against him in 1912.

Intentionally or otherwise, Magnus remains remarkably adept at remaining humble and in avoidance of egoism. Some world champions would have taken great offence to that. I'll never forget how bezerk Kasparov went when the brilliancy prize for the tournament in Lainares (2003?) went to the young Azeri upstart Rajubov. Sticks in my mind as much as that time I sacced a queen on move 8 and was checkmated on the next move. WHat made it worse was in the next league game I under-promoted a pawn to a knight because I still had visions of queens being moved en prise, but as soon as I under-promoted to a knight the game was immediately declared drawn as he only had a king, and I only had a pawn which I promoted to a knight...has anyone ever written a book about promoting pawns, including some hot tips and so on. Perhaps they could name it 'The secrets of pawn promotion.' No GM games, just loads of amateur stuff where there's two promotions and only one or neither is a promotion to a queen. Could be a real money spinner that one.
