Like most of his generation, they are severely under-graded in Fide (though not anywhere near Russians or Indians).

If you look at the ECF top U11s, you can see that most of the 140-150 band is still rated sub 1400. And since they tend to play each others a lot, they just pass the ELO points between themselves.

It says 2019. Busy at work 15th - 21st November 2020. Hope we get a big tournament in the UK in 2020.

2020 seems unlikely to me for a mass participation event in the uk.

I would consider Malta. Any practical advice from those who have played there before?

If a group travels together a taxi from the airport is good value as the public bus is very slow (but very cheap).
Weather is usually low to mid-20s but with always a danger of a torrential downpour.
No need to learn Maltese!

Yep, all three times. Good value, in my opinion, if a little 'British', if you get my drift.

Played a couple of times.
Well organised & no major language difficulties.

When I contacted the organiser he implied that a final decision to run the tournament would be made by the end of July.
So hopefully it is still planning to go ahead, but entries do look rather low.

With the death yesterday of my Uncle, there have been 8 people I know who have died this year, of whom 3 were chess teammates; none of the 8 were anything to do with Covid-19; it has just been an awful year
I'm sorry to hear about your uncle. I'm sure I am speaking on behalf of all forumites. That we are all thinking of you at this sad time.

The Polish Women's Chess Championship Mokate 2020 is currently ongoing in Ostrów Wielkopolski. Did I miss something? Are we back to normal now? Image
