complying to the usual media requirement to include the word "stalemate" in any chess story.

BBC News haven't taken that much interest. They have only covered the story once.
On this Forum the BBC News item has been reported on three different threads in the space of 53 minutes. Is this a record?

Today's Sunday Times LETTERS to the Editor
About Bletchley Park. 'In October 1941, four codebreakers - Alan Turing, Gordon Welchman, Hugh Alexander and Stuart Milner-Barry - sent an urgent message to Winston Churchill asking for additional resources. Churchill granted their request and famously demanded "Action this day."
It is always pleasing to be reminded of the importance of chess players I knew and the part they played in the Second World War.

I take it you know, concerning Olympiads that is, what the BBC produced impeccably once upon a time?
