What became of this?

It's a long time ago but wasn't there one with the same name that moved the pieces? What happened to them? I'm assuming that Spassky was the first world champion to have a computer named/patented after him but stand to be corrected of course.

It didn't play chess, but there was a gadget called Tolinka which was a database and display system.

Tolinka allegedly means "little Anatoly"

The secret weapon? It is an experimental chess computer dubbed “Tolinka” (Little Anatoly), donated by a research department of the British Government. Stean says its specifications and functions cannot be disclosed but so far no computer has proved competent for use at this level of play.

There is a story about an ancient chess computer from the 1800s or something called the turk - whoever programmed that must have been a bit of a genius as there was not even electricity in those days

The very first machine that could play chess, genuinely calculate and execute moves, was a digital electronic computer, right? Wrong!
