Coulsdon in Surrey CCF Reopened on Monday 17th Sept every Monday eve 7.30 until 11.30/12pm
Good to see you back on the forum, Paul. Not heard from you for a while. You've been missed.
Good to see Coulsdon reopening again. I'm guessing you mean May rather than Sept.
Any new members?

Gosforth, obviously, as of last week, with discrete groups of 6. I've not heard from Forest Hall.

I've found quite a few that are reopening on my travels around the country.
Perhaps you could report on these?
Here are some more:
1. This was posted on the Lewisham Chess Club website on the 4th May:
" We are pleased to inform you that the club is planning to reopen in early June 2021, contingent on timescales laid out by the Government. "
" The committee are pleased to announce that following discussions with the Catford Cricket & Sports Club, we are planning to reopen for chess on Wednesday 9th June. "

2. I picked up on the Chess Centre, Ilkley, Facebook page, that they reopened last Wednesday.
3. This was posted on the Facebook page of Liverpool Chess Club:
"Liverpool Chess Club will reopen in the Vines on Lime Street for adults only from Tuesday 25th May at 7.30pm.
This was also posted on their Facebook page on Tuesday 25th May:
"Liverpool Chess Club reopened tonight and it was fantastic to see lots of new members also some of the familiar faces for many games and making new friends!"

Camberley Chess Club met physically for the first time since March 2020 at Pine Ridge Golf Club.

We welcomed several new members who are attending our weekly Zoom meetings.

Interestingly, the lockdown has brought us 48 new members! :D

The venues which have reopened or plan to reopen, have they carried out risk assessments and made the same available? Are they or will they be requiring masks to be worn and social distancing? How good is the ventilation?

Abbots Bromley Chess Club had their first ever 'over the board meeting' in it's history this past weekend.

Set up in April 2020 by Andrew McCafferty by a chance conversation with myself, the club offers the villagers something else to compete in other than the ‘Best Kept Village Award’ which they have held for the past three years, and to keep morale going in midst of the pandemic.

Situated in beautiful rural Staffordshire in the heart of England, the village is arguably most well known for the historic ‘Abbots Bromley School’ where several of their players used to work as teachers, boarding staff, or as part of the parent’s group.

Model definition of a ‘Village Team’ … and loving it!

Good stuff but what about the annual horn dance as the most notable claim to fame?
