British championships 2021
For some reason this tournament passed without any discussion on the forum, so I thought it might be worth at least saying congratulations to the winners (especially our favourite forum contributer Roger de coverly who won the over 65s )
Lose one queen and it is a disaster, Lose 1000 queens and it is just a statistic.

A thread originally started with a pre-Covid shutdown suggestion that the 2021 tournament would be in Blackpool.

Well Done Roger,
If you win the World Senior Chess Championship you automatically get the G.M. title.
No messing about getting norms and such. Straight to a G.M.
Go for it. Your have obviously aged well in the game, probably the positional style, a knack you do not lose.
