--- While no-one else has even reached 10,000. Justin Horton is closest, with 9275.

Which Roger? Roger L or Roger de C?
Where am I on the leaderboard?

Number of posts

Roger de Coverly 19,998
Justin Horton 9,275
Alex Holowczak 9,085
Mick Norris 9,030
Christopher Kreuzer 7,803
Nick Faulks 7,105
John Upham 5,974
Carl Hibbard 5,928
Lawrence Cooper 5,808
Kevin Thurlow 4,864

are your top ten contributors. I am afraid you are languishing in 38th place on 1,686 posts; but you will soon overtake me in 37th place (1,700).

Those of us with long memories will remember there was a special post for Roger's 10,000th.

As an aside I seem to be in 33rd place although I'm not sure that's a badge of honour!

I suggest a thread with the title, 'Chessboxing with Raymond Keene' to help Justin catch up.

I certainly don't wish to denigrate the quality of RdeC's posts or indeed, with some exceptions, those of others but I'm not altogether convinced that quantity alone is necessarily commendable. The usual rule applies, that 80% of useful information appears in 20% of posts.

Certainly, quality is better than quantity; but from my reading of his posts, Roger usually has something of substance to say.

Quality and quantity, in other words.

At the other end there are over 500 members (11 and a bit pages) who have never posted.

I think the ECF should announce another round of elections. 30,000 will be in reach for many.

I hope you don't become silent.
I always enjoy reading your posts on the forum Geoff.
Roger L and Roger de C both write excellent stuff on the forum.
Perhaps forum members should nominate the Roger's for MBEs for services to chess.

We can add another of EJHs favourite topics and have:
