I did a site search for Rivière but found nothing mentioning that he is the great-great-great grandfather of Boris Johnson.

A former (now deceased) regular at Kendal Chess Club also had the surname Johnson and was apparently a relative of our esteemed PM.

(unfortunately I have forgotten his first name)

EDIT: it was Peter M Johnson, who passed away circa 2016.

H Roger,

I only visit four sites, here, Red Hot Pawn and Chessgames.com and occasionally Edward Winter.
If something interesting like this pops up it eventually gets around to one of them.
I got this from chessgames.com today due to Rivière being involved in the 'Game Of The Day.'
