Raymond does still give simuls from time to time. Try a Google search for other sightings.

I hope it goes OK for the old chap but I'll give this one a miss.

If you too are an old chap you can pay half of that (£60 - if you enter before the 7th of July) and spend
a jolly week playing other old chaps in sunny Torquay with at least the remote chance of winning £400.

You'd probably have a realistic chance of beating him now, which he wouldn't like. That alone would be a priceless moment to see his reaction and knowing it was a beating at the hands of a mortal enemy.

Although I suppose knowing he pocketed hundreds of pounds of chessplayers hard earned money in the process would take the shine off any such victory.

I thought it somewhat ironic that the organisation running this simul is organising another event called "Rogues – True Stories of Grifters, Killers, and Crooks" at the same time (for a mere £16.09 including fees and taxes).

+ £7.20 + VAT for fees = £152.64, but you do get snacks and drinks for that.
