Arbiters needed
I am looking to recruit two arbiters to complete the team for a weekend congress in Guildford from 31 March to 2 April 2023 (details will be posted in the Congress Diary section shortly). If interested please PM me. I am also in contact with the ECF but they haven't been able to offer anyone so far.

Re: Arbiters needed
Is there pay of any kind offered for this gig?
Lose one queen and it is a disaster, Lose 1000 queens and it is just a statistic.

Re: Arbiters needed
Whilst that is the case, the recommended practice is to ask for help from the Manager of Arbiters, who can contact a more targeted list. It would appear that as yet no-one suitable has come forward in this instance.Matthew Carr wrote: ↑Sun Dec 25, 2022 11:20 amFull list of arbiters are available on the ECF website. https://www.englishchess.org.uk/arbiters/ecf-arbiters/

Re: Arbiters needed
I'd have given it a go if I lived in London but with the state of the trains and hotel costs it's not a viable risk to be taking for outsiders. Hopefully you'll find yourself an arbiter though.

Re: Arbiters needed
I approached the Manager of Arbiters some time ago. He has not so far been able to suggest anyone. This is why I am exploring additional avenues.David Sedgwick wrote: ↑Sun Dec 25, 2022 10:57 pmWhilst that is the case, the recommended practice is to ask for help from the Manager of Arbiters, who can contact a more targeted list. Re: Arbiters needed
One arbiter contacted me in response to this post, and the ECF Manager of Arbiters also contacted me, so we now have a team in place for this event.
