Who Annotated these games?
Using Chessbase 17 and looking at the "Live" folder (an excellent new feature) we have the Cambridge International Open.
Some of the games are labelled as being annotated by
[NA RC COMBH]
and some by [TA]
I assume that these are persons initials but whose initials are they?
Has someone transcribed comments from the live commentary?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Who Annotated these games?
How many of these games actually have annotations? I had a quick look and found one game with what looked like computer generated annotations. No other games had annotations, despite naming an annotator.

I found a number but it appears to be quite random.Ian Thompson wrote: ↑Mon Feb 20, 2023 11:29 amHow many of these games actually have annotations? I have asked Shohreh Bayat and Natasha Regan.

It reads as if computer generated. Any chance that it's chessbase throwing in some auto analysis?

Yes, I agree Roger. Luckily I downloaded the games before CB removed the icon on its "live" feature otherwise perhaps they disappear into the ether.Roger de Coverly wrote: ↑Mon Feb 20, 2023 7:29 pmIt reads as if computer generated. Any chance that it's chessbase throwing in some auto analysis?

Re: Who Annotated these games?
Steffen Giehring has informed me that [TA} means Tactical Analysis and is automated as we surmised.
He is getting back to me about [NA RC COMBH]
To access the events that were "Live" and have fallen off that list go to

Yes, there is plenty of that sort of "analysis" in Chessbase's own articles.
