Hi guys,
I play at Stans NetChess and want a program that I can use to record and annotate my games.
My internet searches have proved fruitless, so I was wondering if you could point me in right direction?
Many thanks,
John

Free download

good luck.
... I'm assuming you can get the netchess client to save your games as a pgn file (which you can then open in chessbase).

Thanks for the reply Peter.
I downloaded and installed Chess Base Light, but I'm not sure it does what I want or it's user error!
I want to be able to make personal comments about the game or a move specifically, without that comment appearing in the notation pane. I would like another pane with my comments relating to the move shown when move is shown.
Does Chess Base Light support such a thing or is my search not yet over?!
Many thanks....

The free version of ChessBase 9 Light does not allow any games to be created or modified. This presumably includes adding comments.
You could try an alternative database program. Google for Chess Assistant Light. This allows game modification including adding comments - whether you can get hidden comments I'm not sure.
