I know it depends on the position but what piece do you prefer.

A Bishop. I would guess that 75% would be the same. Those that favour Knights are probably either right tricky customers or else someone who prefers to aim for stodgy blocked positions where a Knight rules supreme !

Maybe knight as I play the Nimzo and sometimes the Tromp but it all depends on the position.

Fischer played the Exchange Ruy Lopez regularly, but also liked his Bishops more generally.
