Attempting to update myself on the 2024 Mind Sports Olympiad I was stopped in my tracks from visiting
https://mindsportsolympiad.com/
by McAfee WebAdvisor which advised
"This site looks a little risky to us, so we flagged it just in case. Make sure you trust this site if you choose to proceed. Better safe than sorry!"
Anyone else have an updated version of McAfee and do you get a similar warning?
If you do not have something similar (to McAfee) installed then maybe you should not go there.

I use ESET Internet Security, which is pretty highly-rated for anti-virus protection. It didn't flag any problems with the Mind Games site when I tried the link just now.
"The chess-board is the world ..... the player on the other side is hidden from us ..... he never overlooks a mistake, or makes the smallest allowance for ignorance."
(He doesn't let you resign and start again, either.)

Re: Mind Sports Olympiad: suspicious?
I was mentioning today that I always get flagged when trying to get onto Olimpbase. My anti virus software hits it with red flags and warns me about going there. I get this message;
"We prevented a visit to a website that may cause data leak
Visiting this website may pose the threat of losing money or personal data.
We protected you from visiting this website. You can safely close this window."
I've not gone any further than this and back away. It is one of the few times I see this message. All other chess sites seem to be OK.
Edit: No problem going onto 2024 Mind Sports Olympiad.

Re: Mind Sports Olympiad: suspicious?
Drilling down into this issue a little further I noticed that my LG Smart TVs browser also warned me about this site specifically about the SSL certificate which it claimed could not be trusted.
It would appear that the SSL certificate expired on Sat, 20 Apr 2024 22:09:17 GMT
So, clearly a number of end users of this site will either get a warning or get blocked.

Not sure where you're seeing that, in Firefox looking at the certificate statesJohn Upham wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2024 9:57 amIt would appear that the SSL certificate expired on Sat, 20 Apr 2024 22:09:17 GMT
The certificate is TLS 1.3.Validity
