Accessing grants

Post by Paul Buswell » Thu Apr 15, 2010 8:51 pm

I would be interested in knowing what experiences other clubs have of getting grants - tips and tricks.

The Hastings Club has enjoyed a grant from the Sussex Community Foundation to subsidise the membership and activities of people socially excluded by economic hardship.

We are now looking at a very long shot of seeking to employ someone for a while via Future Jobs Fund -has anyone any experience with this?

Or with other sources of public funds?

There's no reason why such an application shouldn't be successful. As long as the job has a community benefit element to it you should have a good chance. Of course, the person you employ also has to fit all the relevant criteria to be entitled to a FJF vacancy.
