Thought I would use my first post here to congratulate Stuart, Haydn and Sue on a tremendous Congress this weekend. Fantastic friendly atmosphere and a super venue. Well run as usual by Peter Purland and team. Topped off by my step-daughter, Imogen winning the 'Best Junior' prize in her most successful adult Congress yet.
Thanks to all.

Congrats to Imogen!
May I ask what the turnout was like? Were there mainly English players there or did some from the south make the journey north to play?

Turnout was ok.
About 50 in the Open, 60 in the Major and about 25 in the Minor.
Mostly Northern players but a handful did venture from the South.
Chester is the next one arounbd here and that is always a good one. Cracking venue and superb catering.
