Looking at the webcam - has Simon's banana been there since the start of the session? If so it's held out rather longer than a couple of titled players....

14-16 died some time ago though.

The banana still looking untroubled. Grace under pressure.

I suspect Salembeni - Mason was a win for white and Qd1 was resetting the pieces. Either that or there had been a mistake earlier, there wasn't a queen fork, and now the board has got confused
True glory lies in doing what deserves to be written; in writing what deserves to be read.

On site it appears...

You would have to commit seppuku if you used the DGT software for a couple of weeks on site

Is this a Danny Gormally Swindle theme tournament?

Are the Major Open Rd 1 results correct? On boards 1-14, the seeded players scored 5 draws and nine losses

Bob,
I don't think Ne3 work because White does not need to exchange the dark squared Bishops. I expected 43....h4 when of course White has an advantage, but it will be hard work.

My result on board 12 is incorrect as I WON - but they got it right for today's pairings. In all the others the seeded player drew or won.

So the top 14 were (sorry about the lack of format)

1 Scott, Gordon W 0.0 ENG 1970 Talsma, Paul 0.0 NED 2250 ½-½
2 Turner, Caius A W 0.0 ENG 2160 Rabbitte, Dominic M 0.0 ENG 1963 ½-½
3 Rabbitte, Michael J 0.0 ENG 1959 Warman, Simon M 0.0 ENG 2153 0-1
4 Rayner, Francis 0.0 WLS 2149 FM Rambaldi, Francesco 0.0 ITA 1958 ½-½
5 Lenier, Jude 0.0 ENG 1953 Varnam, Liam D 0.0 ENG 2138 0-1
6 Surtees, Mike J 0.0 ENG 2122 Lee, Jia Shen 0.0 ENG 1973 1-0
7 Wright, Jonathan 0.0 ENG 1920 Gregory, Stephen J 0.0 ENG 2116 0-1
8 Hagesaether, Arne 0.0 NOR 2112 Campbell, Eoin 0.0 SCO 1915 1-0
