I was wondering the same thing. I haven't got fritz or any other engine running, but I'd prefer black in that game.

Black's got a bit more space, but White seems solid enough? What do the cybernauts say?

A very decent result for Nick Pert. I thought he was better a few moves before the end, but after ....h4 even I can see why they agreed the draw.

Looking at the Keith Arkell's games yesterday and today, has he "bought" himself for a few quid a point in the "Who plays most moves during the Championship" spread betting market?!

Just got back from a fantastic week in Canterbury. By four o'clock this afternoon entries had reached 895, better than Swansea, Great Yarmouth, Liverpool and just behind Scarborough and Torquay.

Isn't it Ray Keene who does the chess column in The Times? Reproducing old games is nothing new for RK. It's much easier than bothering to find out what's actually happening in a current event.

I think you mean Ray Keene. Far be it from me to defend RDK but he has said that he will be covering this year's event this week.
