The committee at Lowestoft are looking at the possibility of hiring a professional chess player for a talk/demo and simil. How do we go about this and approx what cost are there?
Many thanks in anticipation.

The ECF has a "players panel": the list of the individuals concerned and the specific services that each offers can be found in the ECF Yearbook and on the website at
http://www.englishchess.org.uk/?page_id=365 if you scroll down the page to below the accredited coaches.
Charges are a matter for negotiation: others are probably better placed to comment than I am. Travelling expenses to Lowestoft would also need to be reimbursed.

Keith Arkell is very amiable and does these sort of things. He's active on this forum and if you PM him I'm sure he will respond.

I agree with the above, especially for simuls. Possibly less so for speeches etc but there's no harm in asking. If you want to contact anyone who's not showing on the players panel feel free to contact me as I am in touch with a lot of our players.

Many thanks All.
After reading his posts about the amount of moves he made in the Brits, we should get value for money then!
