Thanks for posting. I've been wondering when this would be broadcast

From a chess aspect we wouldn’t get overexcited about this, the content is very poor mainly due to the focus of the programme being changed without us being informed. Andrew Martin was interviewed without our knowledge/consent some of his comments are being broadcast and others which were inaccurate have been taken out but will be addressed by us privately with the relevant bodies.

Sounds contreversial?

Sorry but I don't understand this post at all. Why would Andrew need your knowledge/consent. Perhaps I have misunderstood.

What a load of old tosh.

Two kids whose childhood had been denied them so they can
end up doing 9-5 in some bland office,

Another on some kid who paints naff paintings and sells them
to chumps looking for an investment.
Honestly I've seen better scribbles on the toilet wall in Bells.

Some girl who can play the piano a bit and now wants to
be a film director.

The Chess bit lasted all of 5 minutes and I saw more of a tortoise
in a garden than I did of a chessboard.

But they already have 2 excellent A levels (very few Upper sixth students do as well in further maths) so once they are teenagers and rebel they might decide to do something more constructive with their qualifications.

They are better than I can do - so he has made a tidy sum which the parent's are looking after sensibly. After all most art is sold on hype anyway.

I think there was a clear contrast between presented between Peter, whose only achievements are in chess, and some of the other teenagers who are broader and so getting exam results as well.

I did say don't get overexcited about the chess, although I do have to say that is a very good picture of one of our tortoises

I think there is a bit of grammatical error in your post but never mind we can't all be geniuses or genii. In the program there were no reports of any teenagers and exam results. Also please don't forget that there is a world of difference between what is filmed and what is broadcast - oh so much has been left on the cutting room floor!

Because:-
a) the subject is a minor
b) the situation he is commenting on is at least 5 years out of date
c) he is obviously totally ignorant of home education and its aims and objectives
d) he knows us personally
e) its good manners
f) shall I continue?

What is the name of the tortoise and more importantly, what is it's IQ?

Maybe the TV companies can do a programme about it and Alex can
make me waste another hour of my life by telling me to watch it.

I remember a 6A*, 5A being quoted for one. (And A levels by pre-teens).
