Yeah, you are right. It is just that the opportunity for this sort of thing doesn't come up very often. Changing the subject, would you know what is going on in the K+P endgame in the "worst moves" thread?

I agree, and so we won't be running anything. It's a pity Kate and Wills picked the wrong date :D

"Anyone know if William and Kate play chess?"

I recall a newspaper article years ago that said William (and Harry) played as children - I think they were taken to a shelter for the homeless and played some of the occupants.

Kevin is quite correct about William playing. A homeless person challenged Princess Diane to a game and she said she didn't play, so William accepted. This did not stop her attending the Kasparov Short match one day. Of course nobody took any notice. It is said he also joined the chess club at St Andrews. One attraction may have been nobody would have asked him anything other than, 'What is your Rating?'

We sure do, even forget how to spell her name correctly.

At least one of you should try to imply that the homeless person's name is forgotten, rather than both trying to pedant bingo the e/a typo.

You are talking tripe Ian. There are millions of homeless people, 90% through their own fault, but they was only one Princess Diana.
Anyway, I do not not play Bingo, nevermind Pedant Bingo. I suspect Alex doesnt either.

Yes, Warren, you fool - that should have been "... there was only one Prince Diana".

Tsk. Not even a formal Princess (that was merely use of her husband's title of Prince and her husband's titles). To have the formal title of Princess, you need to be born into that, or be granted it by the reigning monarch.

As every school-kid knows, she was: "Her Royal Highness The Princess Charles Philip Arthur George, Princess of Wales & Countess of Chester, Duchess of Cornwall, Duchess of Rothesay, Countess of Carrick, Baroness of Renfrew, Lady of the Isles, Princess of Scotland".

It's the difference between being a princess by marriage, and a "Princess of the Blood" (royal blood, obviously). Nice robes as well, apparently.
