Scientists have discovered that expert board game players use a part of their brain that amateurs fail to utilise.

Reading between the lines, unlock your brain and give Kasparov/Carslen etc. a run for their money?

Sounds plausible to me. There are players who can consistently beat me in blitz but can't do the same in slow play.

Blitz and certainly bullet relies on "certain tricks" that would be spotted in a "real" game. Having said that, the amount of times I have lost my Queen to Bg5 premove leaves me red-faced.
