Hidden Talent Show

I received a call late on Friday from Fraser Mullen from Silver River, a TV production company, hoping to enlist a number of chess players to participate in a science series about the assessment and development of talent:
We are currently working on a brand new Channel 4 science series, looking to uncover hidden talents that people do not even know that they have. As part of the series we are looking to find individuals and groups to come on board with us and take part in some expert-led assessments to potentially change their lives forever. We aim to discover previously unknown latent abilities and want to get a selection of avid chess players. The skills could be cognitive, vocal, physical, sensory or in a whole host of other areas and could lead on to great things including linguistics, sports or potential high achievement in many other areas that we will train them in through the programme. We have been told by our consultants that people regularly playing chess could be excellent candidates for a number of our tests especially in awareness, multi-tasking, problem solving, logic and concentration, which is something we really want to explore in the programme.

We are very keen to offer this opportunity to people who could excel. I have attached a brief flyer outlining what the series is about and how people need to get in touch. It would initially be to obtain and complete an application form which we would then use to invite them along to our assessment day in March
The flyer is accessible via the ECF website http://www.englishchess.org.uk/wp-conte ... Poster.doc

I don't have any information beyond this, but it may be of interest, especially if your life needs "potentially changing forever"!
