The Bristol & District Chess League has 6 boards in Divisions 1 to 3 and 4 boards in Divisions 4 and 5.

Four boards in Divisions 4 and 5 works particularly well as the whole team can fit in one car for away matches, it increases the total number of teams, and there is a better chance that smaller clubs can field 4 players rather than 6.

Aragón Team Championship - four boards.
"Do you play chess?"
"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."
