Links Forum

Post by Carl Hibbard » Tue Apr 10, 2007 7:50 pm

I have added a new 'links' section type forum to this board, although it isn't strictly needed a lot of the search engine work that went into the Online Grading Database means that this forum is already being scanned by engines.

It may help in improving your seach ratings.

Best of luck.

Cheers
Carl

Anyone seen the benefits yet of placing an entry in the Links forum section?

Feedback is appreciated

The links forum is a good idea, it raises awareness, but my problem is that I can't see how many people have been actually visiting the sites via the link, all I can see is how many people have viewed the link. Is there any way to have this information made available? Thanks
To Drink or not to Drink, that is the question.

I Drink therefore I am.

I'm not as think as you drunk I am.

It doesn't really work like that, the idea with cross links like this is more to improve your visibility in search engines to be honest

Try typing Derbyshire Chess Association into Google and see what comes up

That is more the idea, make sense?

But would that have to be a specific search, or would anything relating to derbyshire in general come up with the DCA website?

Results will vary quite a bit so it's just a question of every little bit helping to improve your search engine rating

I almost put in a link to my new website... until I found that Yahoo had removed it for breach of terms and conditions. Petty stuff but it's their rules. I'll post the link when i finally get it up and running - for sure!
