I thought that since there is often scant chess posted on this forum, it might be nice to start a thread where people post what they might deem their anthology games, or some thereof (: You could perhaps post a few games direct with pgn tags or just one with more annotation, special for whatever reason (: I'll be posting my own best games soon but first I need to reupload many and annotate others! Just beat a 2140 on chesscube as well which felt nice, so I'll post the bare score of that for now.

I haven't checked with an engine, but after 11 Qd4, isn't Bxf3 worth a punt? The main idea is 12 gxf3 Bxh2 check winning the queen on d4. Presumably 12 Qxg7 is needed and the reply Rf8, but after 13 gxf3, Qh4 looks annoying. It's quite a standard idea and a tactical underpin of the .. Bd6 idea in the Exchange Spanish that Mark Hebden plays from time to time.

Yeah, I'd come to a halt before 11. Qd4 because I realised just that, but I felt I'd let something slip at that point so the intention was 11...Bxf3 12. Qe3+ and 13. Qxf3, with a very small advantage to Black and plenty of positive for my position.

If the game is in pgn format then enclose it within a pgn tag pair... Logon, go to this thread and then 'quote' Dan's original post and you'll see.

In terms of the difference between my grade and my opponent's, most of my 'best' wins have been swindles, so I'll just post a couple of the very few in which the actual moves played gave me anything to be proud of:

The second game I jotted down from memory since I hadn't been keeping score; black played on for another 10 moves or so before throwing in the towel when the queenside pawns started to roll down the board.
