Post by Warren Kingston » Sun Jan 27, 2013 5:59 pm

Hi All

Just purchased a Galaxy S3 and would like some advice on which PGN player (APP) is the best?

Thanks

There is a version of SCID for Android.
I'd strongly recommend Droidfish - a UI for chess-playing s/w which comes with Stockfish 2.3.1 and is free.

I'd second the recc for Droidfish. Some of the functions are a bit fiddly (esp saving to pgn), but it is free, and does everything I've ever needed. Brilliant for bus journeys, boring meetings etc etc.

Thanks for that. Droidfish is very good. Use ICC though to play through games.

Yes I have Chess.com on my Galaxy Ace and it is excellent, with a very clear board display
