If so, what do you need to look out for and what remedy is possible to remove any problems?
The malware from this particular band of crooks is normally more harmful for the website owner than for the user. Specifically it appears to generate invisible backlinks for "blackhat" SEO, a so-called clickjack attack, which might ultimately cause Google to drop your site from their search engine results.
Nevertheless, it would be wise, David, to update your virus scanner to ensure it is running the latest signatures and run a full scan of your personal computer as soon as possible.
I would hope that it doesn't need to be said, that:
a) if you are running Windows XP, you need to update to Windows 7, 8 or 8.1, or ditch Windows for one of the friendlier Linux distros. Not tomorrow or next week or later in the year. But right now.
b) you need to have a firewall running, at least the in-built Windows firewall. Any exclusions from the firewall need to be reviewed and justified.
c) you need to have an Anti-virus scanner running. Permanently, with automated scanning of all incoming communications, whether via your email client, web browser, instant messaging client, phone client, media player, whatever. And a weekly full scan should be scheduled.
d) all important data should be backed up regularly.
