Interesting interview. Does anyone know where I can find the actual game ?

Does anyone know if there is a transcript available?

I had thought that some BBC radio programmes had transcripts available, such as this one:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04mh751

But clearly not all have transcripts. Does anyone here have any ideas on the best way to go about seeing if a transcript is available (i.e. is it best to ask as an individual or try other options)?

And what are the two Norwegian openings Magnus refers to? One being bad and the other merely dubious as he puts it?

Without knowing which way round, one of them is the sequence 1. e4 g6 2. d4 Nf6, sometimes also called the North Sea Defence. The other is a line in the Spanish 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 a6 4. Ba4 b5 5. Bb3 Na5. Whilst 6.Bxf7+ Kf7 7. Nxe5+ is tempting, the theory verdict is that 6. 0-0 is best.

You may recall a game Adams-Carsen from an Olympiad a few years ago. 2010 I think it was.

If that'w what the North Sea defence is, I don't think I'll be adopting it anytime soon.

Yes, 2010 in Khanty, Mickey won a nice game despite feeling ill during the game.

Yes I remember it too. Mickey must have been a fair few world champions by now.

Game here: http://en.chessbase.com/post/new-season ... -the-board

...although from the interview it seems that White resigned around move 26 seeing what was coming rather than 29.

Thanks! Am I right in thinking that is a Norwegian site and so they might only do a transcript for the Carlsen one? I may still need to write in and see if the BBC have any plans for official transcripts.

So after the moves given, White has to give the material back with Qxd2 ending up a piece down after the discovered check wins Black the White rook on c3, but what happens a few moves earlier if 28.Rf2 is played? Is the correct continuation 28...Rxf2+ 29.Kg1 and then 29...Rdf6? Instead of 29...Rdxd2 which doesn't seem to work?

EDIT: Added variations into the game score Geoff provided.
