I just thaught it would be a nice idea to thank carl for all the hard work he does running the forum. The forum has grown so much from the original concept we constantly hear that forums are negative but there are lots off posative and enlightning thing here also the chess history pages have made for some truley wonderfull reading.Keith has provoked some intresting debates, there is the fasinating grading debate ok that is over my head lol,the junior pages helping to grow chess they are the future the new britbase page will add more the list goes on.I think this proves that not everything on forums is negative the ECF made a huge mistake when they cut us off at the knees well there loss is our gain

Thanks, but as you have clearly said a forum is only as good as it's members and their content - we could do with a few more of course!

It could not possibly have been a mistake for the ECF to stop something called the ECF Forum, when it clearly was not an official forum. There is something called the English language you know. The name English Chess Forum is a much better description because it is correct English.
