Chess and schools

Has there been any discussion here that I've missed of the report mentioned here?

Does anyone have good links to other reports on that?

Moreover, some schools reduced the number of maths lessons in the timetable in order to accommodate the chess lessons.

Two key areas for intervention improvement emerged from the study. These were: (a) improving the teaching skills of tutors to help them keep all children engaged—specifically, improving their ability to manage difficult behaviour and manage classes where pupils had varying levels of ability; and (b) increasing the amount of tutor/class teacher liaison.
Not all bad them although of course this being chess, expect a Trumpesque ignoring of what the study has actually found

There are a few posts on the subject at http://www.ecforum.org.uk/viewtopic.php ... start=1515. The discussion started with the last post on the previous page.

Thanks, David. I do remember that now, but I don't think I quite picked up on it at the time.
