I switched to radio commentary at some point in this game, having had enough Brian Moore for one evening, with the result that I could hear the crowd celebrate the ball hitting the net before, on screen, Ronald Koeman had actually struck it.
Because Spanish TV only had live coverage of about half the games in last year's European Champinship, I had to watch a lot of games via the inernet, which, because I live in a rural area, means a slow connection. For some reason, though, the score display kept up with real time even though the picture did not, and before I learned to cover it up, I more than once found out a goal was about to be scored some time before it actually went in.
