It's all on site (honest...) none of it is actually me doing anything!
I would suspect a breakdown in communications to that particular board as it's nasty old fashioned serial cables running everywhere back to a hub, it's yukky, horrible to setup and amazing that it ever works if I am honest...
It also takes 3 or 4 laptops - it really is hard work for the people on site you know!
Cheers

I don't doubt that , just asking if you knew what was wrong

I would die happy if I beat Wood Green in the Eastman Cup final - Richmond LL captain.

They did - the rapid was running just not publicised...
Quite often it's the amount of time you are allowed into the room before the session begins!

Sorry no, I do a "full" time proper job as well so I should not even be here - pretend you didn't see me

I'm guessing the boards have the wrong names on boards 6-10 as we have Hebden playing the Najdorf and some other unlikely combinations. I think Wells-Lewis is probably Briscoe-Hebden but I can't quite decide if all five are wrong or just one or two.
Are you not there to clarify Lawrence this year?
I could come and watch your game on Monday then - wouldn't that be fun

I think I've only been to one British in the last 12 years, something like that anyway. Fairly sure that Wells-Lewis is Briscoe-Hebden, Storey-Gormally may be Wells-Lewis, Briscoe-Hebden could be Storey-Gormally and maybe the Arkell game is correct. Not sure if Trent-Hanley is correct though lol. Good to see 19 games up and running anyway.

This happened in the final round last year if I recall - it wasn't clear whose game was whose.

Has the Wells- Lewis (or whoever is actually playing that game) game finished? It looks pretty dead for white, doesnt it?

Well, apparently Arkell has won his game, if it really is his game. I don't understand why Hawkins would resign.

I wonder if the 0-1 on Hawkins-Arkell (if it is indeed Hawkins-Arkell) doesn't belong to Wells-Lewis instead. If, indeed, it is Wells-Lewis....

Oh, that would make more sense.

They do need to get this sorted out, though, I for one find my interest wanes very quickly if I can't be sure who's actually playing in the games I'm watching.

Well, in the game on that board, black does have an advantage at first glance, but it certainly isn't resignable. I have a feeling that Hawkins-Arkell is 0-1, and that the game played was on board 7 as we look. But when they manually put the 0-1 in, they just looked at names, rather than the games. As a result, we've lost board 6's game, because by saying that that one has ended, no more moves will be played on it.
Oh dear.
