british champion Stu conquest loses in first round big shock

when was the last time the British champion lost in the first round?

Apparently English Champion Keith Arkell has also resigned.

However considering we're on the same move that apparently also caused his opponent to resign I think we should take this with a pinch of salt. :mrgreen:

Especially when we consider the position (after 21. Rc1), not that I claim to be an expert.

Thomas Rendle won in 4 moves today. I wonder if that was the Vodafone gambit in action.

The Internet Attack is also under suspicion.

I'm quite surprised Charlie Storey lost as he's apparently graded 3379.

Still, if it's a bit of a mess, better have a mess in the first round than the last.

No Alex it takes a while to download and analyze a log file of that size, so I will do it in the morning before i go to work!

Around 2,300 visitors would be considered a "good" figure but the number could be anything to be honest

Hard to go Kg5 with the pawn on f4 really....
