Botvinnik and others developed the system well beyond move 6. Essentially I would regard the whole system as pawns on a3, b2, c4, d3, e4, f2, g3, h3, Knights on c3 and e2, Bishops on g2 and e3, Queen on d2, Rooks on b1 and f1, King on g1. If you play an early b4, you might leave out Be3 and Qd2.

You are then preparing pawn breaks with b2-b4 or f2-f4 and the idea Be3-h6 if there's a Bishop on g7. That's one of the points of putting the Knight on e2, it makes f2-f4 possible without either playing it too early or having to move the f3 Knight out of the way. Also it defends the c3 Knight, so that doesn't potentially hang once b4 has been played.

The nimzowitsch English is 1 c4 e5 2 Nf3 which is an entirely different prospect.

It can transpose easily enough if that's where White wants to go. Provided Black doesn't play e5-e4, it's still entirely feasible for White to set up the structure.

No, do post more games, I would infinitely prefer to see chess games than some of the tripe that can get on this forum when we are just discussing chess.

Best solution to not clogging it up with too many separate posts might be to just have one called Alan Llewellyns chess games, and use that whenever you have something of interest to show us. That pleases all parties concerned.

In the Leyland Congress FIDE OPEN I got a draw with a dubious but spectacular Knight manoeuvre

I didn't find any games where this has been played before, but it does have a certain plausibility. Putting the Knight en prise by Ng4 with the idea of regaining the piece on d4 is a known idea in the Accelerated Dragon.
